National Sales Manager / Client Liaison

Our client is seeking an experienced Client Relationship Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of key client accounts and ensure the delivery of exceptional client service. This strategic role is focused on strengthening customer relationships, driving account growth, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring long-term client retention.
As the senior point of contact for clients, you will work closely with internal departments and executive stakeholders to ensure customer expectations are consistently exceeded. You will oversee client engagements, provide strategic account guidance, negotiate agreements, and proactively address challenges before they impact the client experience.

• Manage and nurture long-term relationships with key clients across the country.
• Act as the senior primary point of contact for client enquiries, concerns, and escalations.
• Identify and capitalise on account growth, cross-selling, and upselling opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Conduct regular client meetings, reviews, and strategic planning sessions.
• Prepare and present detailed account performance reports and recommendations.
• Analyse client feedback and market trends to improve service delivery and retention.
• Develop and implement client retention strategies to minimise churn.
• Review, negotiate, and manage client contracts and commercial agreements.
• Support business development and client acquisition initiatives.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and client documentation.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior client relationship team members.

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Sales, Customer Relations, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a Client Relationship Manager, Key Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, or similar client-facing position.
• Strong track record of managing strategic client relationships and growing accounts.
• Experience negotiating contracts and managing commercial agreements.
• Demonstrated success implementing client retention initiatives.
• Experience preparing and presenting reports to senior stakeholders.
• Leadership experience or experience mentoring junior team members advantageous.

• Strong understanding of CRM practices, processes, and software.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
