Digital Marketing Manager - FX/CFDs

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to drive ThinkMarkets' brand awareness, client acquisition, and commercial growth across South Africa. You'll be responsible for delivering data-led marketing strategies that combine digital performance, brand development, PR, and localized campaigns, ensuring ThinkMarkets continues to strengthen its position within the South African online trading market.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Marketing Strategy & Growth

• Develop and execute the digital marketing strategy for South Africa, aligned with global business objectives and regional commercial targets.
• Drive measurable client acquisition, activation, and retention through data-driven marketing initiatives across digital channels.
• Build and execute localized marketing campaigns that resonate with the South African trading community while maintaining ThinkMarkets' global brand standards.
• Own the regional marketing roadmap, campaign calendar, and performance reporting, ensuring alignment with global stakeholders.
• Conduct ongoing market, competitor, and customer analysis to identify growth opportunities and optimize marketing strategy.

Performance Marketing & Analytics

• Own campaign performance across digital acquisition channels, continuously optimizing campaigns using analytics, attribution, audience insights, and experimentation.
• Monitor and report on key performance metrics including CPA, CAC, FTDs, ROAS, LTV, conversion rates, retention, and marketing ROI.
• Partner closely with the global Performance Marketing team to improve campaign effectiveness and maximize return on marketing investment.
• Leverage attribution models and customer journey insights to optimize budget allocation and improve marketing efficiency.
• Develop performance dashboards and provide actionable recommendations based on campaign data and customer behaviour.

Brand, PR & Local Market Development

• Lead initiatives that strengthen ThinkMarkets' brand awareness and reputation across South Africa's FX/CFD and online trading market.
• Develop localized brand campaigns that support both commercial growth and long-term brand equity.
• Manage local PR activities, media relationships, press releases, and thought leadership opportunities.
• Coordinate industry events, sponsorships, partnerships, webinars, and community initiatives that increase brand visibility and client engagement.
• Collaborate with creative and media agencies to deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels.

Stakeholder & Agency Management

• Work closely with global Marketing, Commercial, Product, Sales, Compliance, and Legal teams to deliver localized marketing initiatives.
• Manage relationships with local creative, media, PR, and digital agencies, ensuring high-quality execution and measurable outcomes.
• Support and optimize affiliate and partnership marketing initiatives to drive incremental client acquisition.
• Ensure all regional marketing activities align with global brand standards while meeting local commercial objectives.

Compliance & Budget Management

• Manage the South African marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of spend based on performance and commercial impact.
• Ensure all marketing communications comply with FSCA financial promotion requirements and POPIA regulations.
• Maintain accurate reporting on marketing investment, campaign performance, and commercial outcomes.
• Promote a culture of continuous optimization through testing, analytics, attribution, and data-driven decision making.

Requirements

• 5+ years digital marketing experience within fintech, financial services, online trading, FX/CFD, or retail investing.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven track record driving customer acquisition, growth, and brand performance.
• Strong understanding of performance marketing, CRM/lifecycle marketing, CRO, attribution, and analytics.
• Experience managing multi-channel digital campaigns and optimizing commercial KPIs.
• Experience leading brand, PR, affiliate, and integrated marketing initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with GA4, Google Tag Manager, CRM platforms, and marketing analytics tools.
• Knowledge of the South African financial services market and FSCA regulations is advantageous.
• Strong commercial, analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
