Senior Community Development Manager

About the RoleOur client, a prominent non-profit organization focused on sustainable community development in Randburg, Gauteng , is seeking an experienced Senior Community Development Manager.
This leadership position will be responsible for overseeing strategic planning, program development, and implementation of initiatives aimed at fostering economic empowerment, social cohesion, and improved living standards within target communities.
You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, manage significant budgets, build strategic partnerships with government and private sector entities, and ensure the measurable impact of Our client's work in the Gauteng region.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute strategic plans for community development programs.
Lead and mentor a team of community development officers and project staff.
Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial accountability.
Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with government agencies, corporate partners, and other NGOs.
Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of program impact, reporting on outcomes and lessons learned.
Identify new funding opportunities and contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts.
Represent Our client in high-level forums, conferences, and public engagements.
Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, legal requirements, and donor stipulations.
Drive innovation in program design and implementation to maximize community benefit.
Advocate for community needs and represent the organization's interests.
RequirementsMaster's degree in Community Development, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in community development management, with a proven track record of leading impactful initiatives.
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, program design, and implementation.
Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
Excellent leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Proven experience in partnership building with diverse sectors.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation abilities.
Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of the socio-economic landscape in Gauteng is highly desirable.
