Front Office Shift Supervisor

Running the front desk of a business hotel in Tzaneen means calm service and a clean shift balance. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Home base is a business hotel on the Tzaneen side of Limpopo. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

The work, day to day

• Quote flights, car hire and holiday packages on a GDS such as Amadeus or Galileo.
• Balance your cash float and card slips before handover.
• Answer booking emails and calls, and quote rates from the rate sheet.
• Run the night audit, close the day and print the flash report.
• Check guests in and out on Opera or Protel, and scan IDs and passports.
• Take card pre-authorisations and settle folios at checkout.

Must-haves

• Calm with an unhappy guest at 11pm
• Clear spoken and written English
• Matric
• You can work rotating shifts, including nights
• Honest with cash and card payments

Nice if you have

• Revenue or yield management exposure
• Opera PMS or Protel certificate
• Amadeus or Galileo training for travel roles
