World Class 5* Game Lodge Sabi Sand Game Reserve Mpumalanga Qualifications / Experience 5 years experience in luxury hospitality housekeeping At least 2 yeaers experience managing a housekeeping department with a five-star lodge, hotel or luxury property Extensive computer knowledge i.e. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Internet, Powerpoint etc. HMS Infor and Sage knowledge (advantageous) Strong organisational skills with experience in cost and inventory control Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal) Behaviours / Skills Passion for people and service excellence Professional presentation and conduct Positive and proactive attitude Calm under pressure Exceptional leadership and people management with the ability to motivate team members Strong interpersonal skills, with cultural sensitivity and patience with colleagues Excellent planning and organisational skills Hands-on, proactive approach High level of accountability, integrity, ownership and pride in work Exceptional attention to detail Flexible and adaptable mindset with a solution-oriented approach Realistic understanding of and adaptability to bush life A sense of fun and understanding of the Virgin way of doing things Responsibilities: Ensure five-star guest experience through implementation and upholding of exceptional housekeeping standards. Manage, oversee and schedule team of 20 housekeepers in a fair and equitable manner. Ensure adherence to operational standards and Health & Safety guidelines. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, lodge and central laundries, back-of-house. Monitor performance, provide feedback and training to maintain high cleanliness standards Responsible for housekeeping supplies and equipment, ensuring par stock levels are in place at all times. Oversee departmental budgets with a strong sense of cost control and reduction of wastage. Implement special requests pertaining to the department. Review guest feedback and address complaints. Maintain close working relationships with other departments to ensure seamless operations and facility upkeep.
