Our client is a leading mining conglomerate, where operational excellence starts long before equipment reaches the mine. They're looking for an experienced Stores & Inventory Manager to take ownership of the stores function, ensuring inventory is accurately controlled, budgets are managed and materials are available when the business needs them. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, leading a team and making operational improvements that have a real impact on production. - Manage stores and inventory function
- Control stock levels, consumables and inventory accuracy
- Oversee purchasing, receiving and issuing of stock
- Manage goods receipts and stock movements
- Drive inventory planning and budget control
- Monitor stock variances and improve inventory processes
- Lead and develop the stores team
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and inventory controls
Job Experience and Skills:
- Relevant Tertiary qualification preferred
- 5 to 10 years' experience in a similar role
- Mining industry experience is essential
- Proven management and leadership experience
- Sage experience
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
