Production Manager - Blueberries

Where You'll Make an Impact:

• Contribute to and implement strategic business planning

• Organise, plan, and prioritise work through clear goals and objectives

• Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure smooth farm activities

• Direct and coordinate activities such as planting, fertigation, chemical applications, harvesting, and record keeping

• Implement and uphold operating standards and procedures

• Conduct soil and leaf analysis for pest/disease management and fertigation

• Oversee production areas, ensuring maturity dates and quality standards are met

• Coordinate with engineering, technical, and maintenance teams to support growing activities

• Assist in preparing and controlling annual budgets

• Schedule, monitor, and report on operational progress against budgets

• Support new employees through induction and ongoing development

• Enforce safety regulations and ensure workforce adequacy

• Set and monitor performance standards, fostering employee growth

• Communicate effectively with management, staff, clients, and regulatory bodies

• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as SIZA and Global G.A.P.

• Maintain quality assurance standards

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years experience in farming or farm management

• Strong knowledge of farming operations and basic farm management

• Proven ability to lead and develop teams

• Excellent organisational and planning skills

• Ability to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies

• Good communication skills and stakeholder management

Nice to Have:

• Experience with industry standards such as SIZA and Global G.A.P.
