Job Title: Control Room Operator - Mining Industry

Location: Gauteng, South Africa

Overview:
Hire Resolve's client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Control Room Operator to join their mining team in Gauteng. The Control Room Operator will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the operations of various mining equipment and processes from a centralized control room. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mining operations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and control the operation of mining equipment and processes from a centralized control room
Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times
Communicate with on-site personnel to coordinate activities and address any issues or concerns
Analyze data and make decisions to optimize efficiency and productivity
Keep accurate records of equipment performance and process parameters
Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate to maintenance personnel as needed
Maintain a clean and organized control room environment

Requirements:

Grade 12
Fitter/Electrical/Technician Trade Test Certificate
Previous experience working as a Control Room Operator in the mining industry
Strong understanding of mining operations and equipment
Proficiency in operating control systems and software
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the mining industry
Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
