Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Project Manager responsible for Ancillary Fleet Technology (AFT), you will play a vital role in effectively managing the implementation of AFT processes and technologies within the business. This role is responsible for overseeing core functions related to service-provider relationships, ensuring seamless service delivery and support. Strong project management skills, a deep understanding of operational systems, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are essential for success in this position. You will also be responsible for post-implementation system management and coordinating with Service Provider Representatives to meet user requirements and expectations.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, with a focus on operational systems implementation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Strong technical knowledge of ancillary fleet technologies, such as IoT devices, telematics, and edge computing.
Excellent project management skills, with experience managing complex, cross-functional projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Experience in the road freight industry is an advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Implementation: Oversee the seamless integration of Ancillary Fleet Technology systems into the business's operational workflow, aligning with strategic objectives to boost efficiency.
Project Management : Oversee and manage all AFT-related projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring they meet quality, time, and budgetary targets.
Process Standardisation: Develop and refine technology frameworks and processes, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and comply with best practices and industry standards.
Reporting Oversight: Design and implement customisable dashboards for comprehensive reporting on system health and performance, addressing specific business needs.
Service Management: Conduct strategic negotiations of contracts and service level agreements (SLAs), and manage relationships with service providers to ensure exceptional service delivery.
Project Coordination: Ensure that all AFT-related projects are delivered within scope, time, and budget constraints, coordinating with various departments for effective resource allocation.
Technology Auditing: Perform gap analyses and audits to ensure the AFT systems are optimised and adhere to the organisation's requirements and standards.
Training Leadership: Develop and facilitate training and support for end-users to promote effective adoption and operation of AFT systems.
Financial Stewardship: Manage financial aspects of the AFT, including budgeting, billing, and reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
Monitoring Expansion: Broaden the scope of AFT bill monitoring and conduct thorough monthly asset reviews to streamline operations and reduce redundancies.
