Our company is looking for a gantry operator to join our team.

Comply with Depot safety procedures and work instructions;
Dip tanks, record dips/ temperature accurately and hand dips figures to the Shift Supervisor for stock balancing;
To perform any other duties as reasonably requested by the Supervisor / Manager;
To assist with the management of the HSSE of the Depot by ensuring Health, Safety & Environmental systems are maintained;
Assist with tank /valve preparation for product receipts (Pipeline and Pump back);
To ensure that the premises are kept clean and maintain housekeeping standards;
Assist the shift supervisor with the loading and product receipt via the pipeline and pump back facility;
Conduct minor maintenance with guidance from Terminal Supervisor/Manager;
To monitor and report any unsafe conditions and acts to intermediate supervisor/Management as stipulated in the OHS Act 85 of 1993;
Dip tanks, sample product, test, receive product into the desired tank and hand all documents to the shift supervisor;
Do vehicle inspection before loading (Safe To Load) and conduct Driver induction when necessary;
Open tank outlet valves for tank in use and set up the line to the gantry. Reverse this process for depot shutdown;
Assist shift supervisor with product quality control by doing laboratory tests on product and filing of the results.

Matric plus one year qualification certificate;
Experience gained in a petrochemical, production, and warehousing or industrial environment.
