Internal sales Job Description Template

Our company is looking for a Internal sales to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend to queries and / or complaints from customers timeously and courteously;
  • Accurately capture customer information into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system;
  • Handle both Internal sales and Counter Sales;
  • Arranging shipment of goods and the logistic liaison with Freight Companies;
  • Compile and send customer sales report to management weekly;
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers on the delivery of goods and services;
  • Responsible for processing and managing sales orders;
  • Responsible for preparing quotations as per customer requirements / queries / using a costing sheet;
  • Ensure that pricing for all products are kept updated on SYSPRO;
  • Daily ordering of goods and products and helping external sales staff with quotes and orders;
  • Liaise with dispatch regarding delivery of orders;
  • Assist clients with any technical or sales enquiries and to liaise with local suppliers;
  • Handle telephonic enquiries from customers a professional manner and ensure orders are processed timeously;
  • Assist the sales team as and when required;
  • Pursue orders by actively contacting customers telephonically on a weekly basis.

Requirements:

  • Technical experience a must;
  • Min. 2 years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Pleasant mannerism and etiquette (in person, telephonically and with customers);
  • Drivers license and own vehicle essential;
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills;
  • Must have your own reliable transport;
  • Advanced Excel knowledge and skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc);
  • Knowledge and experience with SYSPRO would be advantagous;
  • Able to work without constant supervision and initiative to work ahead and / or take on work where and when needed;
  • At least 2 – 3 years working experience in a sales coordination and facilitation role;
  • Matric;
  • Excellent Communication and Organisational Skills;
  • Strong customer service;
  • Experience working on Sage will be advantageous.
