Our company is looking for a Operations Manager: Warehouse and Distribution to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure training and developmental needs of the Ops team are identified, required training schedules completed and training provided;
  • Review existing and future SLA’s with local third-party service providers, ensuring best practice standards are followed;
  • Agree, implement and monitor monthly and annual targets for Ops team;
  • In consultation with the UK team be responsible for the local infrastructure needs and requirements;
  • Continually seek ways to improve business operations, identify and propose changes and implement once agreed;
  • Develop and maintain long lasting, strong business relations with all key and strategic suppliers;
  • Manage, motivate and inspire the Ops team to deliver operational excellence;
  • Continuously search ways to ensure optimal cost utilisation for all Ops related activities;
  • Identify key staff for succession planning and future development;
  • By making use of MS Planner, determine tasks, provide regular progress reports, closure as per agreed timetable;
  • Be responsible for all Health and Safety matters, dealing with external SP’s, compliance with regulatory requirements, meeting with committee members;
  • Ensure processes and procedures are followed and exceptions managed;
  • Have a clear strategy for change management. Act as a change manager for the Ops team ensuring awareness of process, system, procedural, staff changes;
  • Follow HR guidelines to institute disciplinary procedures for non-performance;
  • Perform regular analytical reviews on key costs/performance ratios and make recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Exposure to high volumes movement environment;
  • Workable knowledge of solar industry;
  • Previous exposure to technology products;
  • Internal and external customer focus,
  • Team player, motivator,
  • Project management skills, self-starter, organised, ability to analyse and interpret data, prioritisation of tasks;
  • Security requirements;
  • Ability to identify potential problems and provide and implement solutions, target driven,
  • Focused and dedicated, detail orientated,
  • Health and safety Act and regulations;
  • System and process orientated, Software focused, IT skills;
  • Previous experience in managing operational team of 5+ managers and 50+ staff;
  • 5 to 10 years senior management experience;
  • Leadership and managerial experience, ability to delegate, good communicator;
  • Have a good understanding of the full end to end business cycle.
