Operations Manager

Plan, direct, or coordinate the operations of public or private sector organizations. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources, but are too diverse and general in nature to be classified in any one functional area of management or administration, such as personnel, purchasing, or administrative services.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilities/Maintenance/Building;

  • Awareness of second hand stock, to ensure no unnecessary spending;
  • Identifying weakness accompanied timeous corrective action;

  • Ensure all customers requirement and deadlines are met through managing the Warehouse Supervisor and relevant Team Members;
  • To ensure compliance to all legislative acts and pronouncements that are applicable within the assembly/CA environment;
  • Secure a Continuous improvement structure and culture, where problems are seen as opportunities to improve;
  • Prepare daily and periodic reports regarding activities (OB);
  • Attend to escalated payroll queries;
  • To ensure that the Operations organization is well resourced, trained and equipped to deliver the desired level of output;
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of standard operating procedures aligned to client requirements for all sites;
  • Provide input into KAM and Tender teams to ensure retention of existing clients.

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years post qualification experience;
  • BSc/MTech/BTech Engineering (Any Discipline), Quantity Survey, BA, BProc, LLB;
  • Key stakeholder engagement experience;
  • Management experience;
  • Experience in Purchasing;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Previous experience in a start-up company would be an advantage;
  • Strong planning and organizing ability;
  • Familiarity with business and financial principles;
  • Good presentation and reporting skills;
  • Reliable Transport;
  • 5 to 10 years experience;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Intermediate knowledge in Pastel Evolution;
  • EE Candidate will receive preference.
