Macadamia Farm Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Macadamia Farm Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Attending Macadamia Grower days & workshops;
- Meeting with fertilizer and chemical reps and planning of fertilizing and spraying of macs;
- Oversight of the macadamia operations on a daily basis;
- Calculating tasks for staff, supervision of work and dealing with any disciplinary issues;
- Assistance with mechanical maintenance and breakdowns;
- Overseeing Secretary/Admin;
- Planning & farm records; Diesel recons; Wages etc.
Requirements:
- Strong general mechanical experience and aptitude, including welding ability and minor tractor and machinery servicing skills;
- At least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience as a farm manager with specific experience in macadamia production and tree management;
- Excellent labour management skills;
- Good general administrative skills (record keeping, budgeting, cost control etc.);
- Fluency in isiZulu.
