Our company is looking for a General Manager: Farming — BOSJES (Breede Valley) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Personnel management for farming operations;
- Management of security services;
- Marketing of farming produce and negotiating contracts;
- Prepare annual financial budget for farming operations and managing expenditure accordingly;
- Ensuring that the farm complies with all relevant farming regulatory requirements;
- Management of construction and dam projects on the farm;
- Management of farm activities, including olives, vineyards, peaches, garden and nursery;
- Monitoring and control w.r.t. game, wild flowers and gardens.
Requirements:
- Applicable agricultural qualification;
- Advanced project management skills;
- Strong business acumen;
- At least 10 years’ experience in a management role on a farm;
- Excellent communication and liaison abilities and skills;
- Self-disciplined team player with integrity;
- Exceptional leadership qualities and management experience (a management qualification will strengthen the application);
- Ability to work effectively within a tourism / hospitality environment.
