Digital Account Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Digital Account Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with operational team to ensure campaigns are implemented and up and running in a timely manner;
- Continuously stay up to date with market trends;
- Budgetry responsibility (achievement of revenue and adherence to expenditure budgets) for Agency and Client;
- Conduct new client training sessions;
- Liaise with finance team to ensure invoices are accurate;
- Attend industry events and continuously increase contact network;
- Stay on top of the performance of key campaigns and optimise where necessary;
- Responsible for all requirements and issues on behalf of Client;
- Timeous monthly and/or bi-monthly charge outs – to interface with production, media and finance departments on charge out procedure;
- Keep a log of account management consulting hours to be invoiced each month;
- Identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling existing clients;
- Deal professionally and effectively with any complaints/issues that may arise from clients;
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular contact (meetings, email and phone);
- Compile quarterly reports and present to clients during quarterly follow-up meetings.
Requirements:
- Rendering of strategic planning function, where required;
- Strong sense of financial acumen;
- Tertiary qualification in either Marketing, B. Comm. or Advertising;
- 3 – 5 years experience in account management within a digital advertising agency;
- Organization of internal and external training (both on-going and ad hoc) and assisting with new staff induction;
- Completion of staff evaluation reports;
- Maintenance of a high level of staff motivation and proficiency;
- Understanding of digital measurements across different digital , web and social platforms;
- Exceptional presentation skills;
- Annual budget compilation and quarterly reviews;
- Strong organisational/project management skills;
- Monitoring and evaluation of effectiveness of subordinate staff members;
- Qualitative and quantitative research attendance and involved in analysis and discussions thereafter;
- Must be very knowledgeable across all aspects of digital, including a deep knowledge of Digital Media and Reporting.
