Our company is looking for a Mechanical / Electrical Artisan — Contract Position to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist operations with changeover and critical settings;
- Assist with project work and design out maintenance;
- Trains artisan’s assistants and students;
- Be prepared to work shifts and overtime;
- Carry out reliability centered maintenance and use eCMMS as a tool for daily maintenance;
- Conduct safety inspections on process equipment and machinery;
- Ensure that all work is done in a safe manner and all equipment used complies with Safety Standards, Quality standards;
- Assist with plant calibrations and verifications;
- Assist as a SME for critical inventory.
Requirements:
- Maintenance Planning experience will be advantageous;
- Must have completed an apprenticeship and trade test through a recognized organization;
- Must be able to work under pressure;
- 3 years in operation and maintenance of plant machines and services;
- Technical aptitude — be able to fault find and repair minor breakdowns;
- Ability to follow clear instructions e.g. follow a planned maintenance procedure;
- Must be customer focused;
- Must be systematic, neat, methodical and have attention to detail;
- Grade 12 and qualified Fitter & Turner / Toolmaker;
- 3 years in maintenance and FMCG environment and GMP experience;
- TPM will be advantageous.
