Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and participating in specification reviews, design reviews, and other quality assurance best practices ensuring user experience integrity;
- Ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks across multiple projects, under tight deadlines;
- Evangelizing user-cantered design practices and the importance of usability within the development group, our company, and our client organizations;
- Must be organized, self-driven and able to work under tight deadlines and changing requirements;
- Creating and modifying screen layouts, icons and images;
- Proven track of record turning research results into actionable design and development requirements resulting in increases user satisfaction;
- Meeting with end-users and become their voice, and their champion in the development process;
- Identifying and solving usability and UI design problems;
- Defining and documenting UI standards;
- Driving and tracking adoption of usability enhancements;
- Demonstrated product knowledge and basic technical knowledge, preferably with a focus on the business travel & expense industry;
- Contributes to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to user interface, software architecture or new technologies;
- Strong visual and UX design skills: attention to detail down to pixel perfect execution;
- Translating software requirements into useful, usable and desirable designs;
- Builds software applications – Follows coding standards, builds appropriate unit tests, integration tests and deployment scripts.
Requirements:
- Prototype;
- YUI;
- HTML;
- Libraries and micro frameworks (jQuery, Angular, Prototype, Dojo, Backbone, YUI), HTML and CSS;
- Highly skilled at front-end engineering using Object-Oriented JavaScript, various JavaScript;
- Excellent communication skills;
- JavaScript;
- Backbone;
- 5-7 years as a key member of a UI/UX team through the product development cycle of several;
- jQuery;
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
- Angular;
- CSS;
- Well-versed in software engineering principles, frameworks and technologies;
- Successfully launched web, mobile and/or software applications (as opposed to layout and decorative design).
