Sql Dba Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Sql Dba to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage SQL Server databases;
- Configure, Implement and maintain SQL replication topologies available (Merge, Transactional and Snapshot);
- Provide suggestions for solutions;
- Thorough understanding of T-SQL;
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes;
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement;
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours;
- Monitor system»s health and performance;
- Install, configure and manage SSRS;
- Exposure to SSAS and SSIS;
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes;
- Provide 24×7 support for critical production systems;
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time;
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security.
Requirements:
- Team player;
- 4 years of experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server;
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills;
- 5 years of experience with backups, restores and recovery models;
- MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications a plus;
- Good time management skills;
- 5 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role;
- 5 years of experience with Windows server, including Active Directory;
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success;
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
