Solutions Architect Job Description Template

Our company is looking for a Solutions Architect to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design Cloud migrations;
  • Structured experimentation in order to onboard new technology;
  • Lead and facilitate Hackathons;
  • Transfer knowledge to team;
  • Architecting of systemic/technical solution for each Business requirement (in conjunction with the impacted systems/teams as well as Business);
  • Assist with support queries/task during a quarter on projects not currently under development;
  • Assist in crafting Use Cases and Testing Scenarios for each respective project (Pre-and Post-Production verification);
  • Disseminate the finalised requirements to the impacted systems/teams;
  • Be responsible for developing and contributing to architecture principles for downstream consumption;
  • Track the progress of development/implementation across the impacted systems and feedback to Product Owners;
  • Engage with Product Owner for new and ongoing product requirements;
  • Plan and develop the architectural/solutions runway in support of upcoming business features with the Enterprise Architect (EA);
  • Communicate with and manage Product Owner expectations during a quarter on project progress;
  • Analysis and Grooming of requirements for PI for the upcoming quarter;
  • Conduct research and or investigate in order deliver reference architectures.

Requirements:

  • PCI Banking/Online payment a plus;
  • OO Analysis design and programming techniques;
  • PL/SQL;
  • Comp Sci/Engineering degree;
  • Huawei BSS experience a plus;
  • 5 years’ minimum proven industry related experience interacting directly with end users, in similar position in the telecoms environment;
  • Expertise with various frameworks;
  • Java development/ .NET /C# etc (Some sort of Dev background.);
  • DBMS experience;
  • BSS experience a must.
