Security Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Security Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Document security requirements, procedures, and protocols of new architecture and systems created;
- Knowledge of system and network architecture and interrelationships (technical and functional);
- Design and build automated security tests, tooling, monitoring, and alerting;
- Strong understanding of enterprise logging using syslog-ng, with a focus on security event logging;
- Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure continuity and speed of releases;
- Implement, configure, and manage security solutions;
- Monitor and proactively manage supported products and services to assure their performance, availability, security, and capacity;
- Experience in SecDevOps, configuration management (Salt, Puppet etc), automation and orchestration a plus.
Requirements:
- At least one current recognized security professional certification such as CISSP, GIAC (advantageous);
- Recognized Computer Science or Mathematics Qualification NQF 7 or higher (advantageous).
