Our company is looking for a Data Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Be an integral and trusted member of the data engineering team;
- Research and stay abreast of key technical developments and trends;
- Hands on coding / implementation to enable data to flow to our data systems from both internal and external sources;
- Be a mentor to new team members.
Requirements:
- Platforms — Unix , Windows , Linux , Hadoop (HortonWorks);
- BI Toolset : Qlikview, SSRS, SSAS, Business Objects , Cognos — Formal Certification will be advantage;
- Docker & Kubernetes;
- Identify, analyse, visualise and understand supporting data to propose solid solutions;
- Google Cloud, Azure or AWS;
- Doing standby on a rotating basis;
- Data Warehousing Concepts;
- Airflow or Composer;
- Python;
- RESTful services;
- Interact with clients to understand requirements and business problems/needs;
- Minimum nqf 6;
- Relevant certification Advantageous;
- Data Governance Concepts;
- Create technical documentation for reference and reporting.
