Logistics Scheduler Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Logistics Scheduler to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Compile transport contracts;
- Develop relationships with transporters and clients;
- Executing on contract terms and conditions;
- Daily admin function;
- After hours contact with all relevant parties, 7 days a week;
- Follow-up with trucks to determine ETA;
- Stock as well as quality control;
- Weekly planning of truck movements and delivery;
- Managing and executing import and export documents;
- Adding new transporters and updating insurance;
- Negotiating rates with transporters;
- Keeping clients informed regarding status of cargo;
- Collecting POD’s.
Requirements:
- Fully bilingual;
- Relevant logistics qualification;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
