logistics co-ordinator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a logistics co-ordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate all stock issues in a professional manner to all key players;
- Ensure accurate communication to all customers both internal and external;
- Ensure minimal write-off’s on inventory;
- Invoicing;
- Manage short dated stock between branches and communicate possible risk of expiry in advance;
- Placing fertilizer orders;
- Partake in annual stock take at various branches as per managements decision;
- Scheduling freight;
- Process sample requests where required;
- Lead specific projects as defined by the Demand Manager;
- Formulating fertilizer mixtures;
- Arrange shipment deliveries to warehouses;
- Consolidate and provide updated forecasts from Account Managers;
- Support and back up to customer service;
- Maintain inventory levels.
Requirements:
- + 3 years’ experience in forecasting/ planning / supply chain;
- General knowledge (formal or informal) of pharmaceutical industry and requirements;
- Undergraduate diploma / degree in Inv Management / commerce / similar;
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel;
- Matric;
- Export and Import documentation/process knowledge non negotiable;
- Export/Import and INCO terms qualifications non negotiable- include courses attended;
- Minimum 3 years experience within Distribution industry;
- Advanced experience MS Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel Pivot tables;
- Hazchem qualification and experience required- include courses attended;
- Import/Export experience- Europe and Africa a must.
