Insurance Accountant (Long / Short Term) Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Insurance Accountant (Long / Short Term) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assistance with year-end audits, special projects and ad hoc requests;
- Month-end pack preparation;
- Balance sheet control reconciliations;
- Supplier invoicing and credit notes;
- Process and allocation of supplier payments;
- Debtor invoicing and credit notes;
- Month end Journal entries;
- Process and allocation of debtor receipts;
- Raising of accruals, provisions and prepayments;
- Fixed asset accounting.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially with good Excel skills;
- Proficient knowledge of Xero accounting package;
- BCom (Financial accounting) or similar qualification;
- Must have Payroll experience;
- Financial Accountant experience of 2/ 3 years within the insurance industry.
