Estimator Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Estimator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Calculations of pump and tank requirements to suit hazard;
- Site visits;
- Determining types of hazards / category of goods / sprinkler system required;
- Receiving and analysing tender documents and building plans to ascertain protection required.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills;
- Own transport and valid drivers license;
- 3 to 5 years quantity surveying experience in the building industry;
- Must have excellent industry knowledge;
- 8 to 10 years senior estimator experience;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
- Project management experience will be advantageous;
- Matric/ Grade 12 Certificate;
- Relevant tertiary qualification;
- Detail orientated and excellent problem solving skills;
- Prior experience within Pricing, Estimates or Operations in the industry is preferred;
- Exceptional analytical skills;
- Accuracy and attention to detail is a must;
- National certificate in Freight Forwarding NQF 4/5 or FIATA diploma advantageous;
- Minimum of 5years experience in estimates and minimum 3 years experience in forwarding and clearing.
