Responsibilities:
- Sourcing;
- Reduce single sourcing;
- Cost Saving;
- Completion of purchase orders in terms of agreed deliveries;
- Monthly spend Report and Monthly Cost Savings report;
- Management of call outs for emergencies/breakdowns and subsequent authorisation to ensure suppliers carry out work with a purchase order;
- Compliance of CSA’s payment terms or substantiation of deviations;
- Collect all OE Letters;
- Organise, update and maintain supplier database;
- Generation of purchase orders;
- Price regulation;
- Responsible for the collection of supplier BBBEE certification and other compliance documentation;
- Vendor selection;
- Maintenance of contracts and credit applications with suppliers.
Requirements:
- Matric/ Grade 12 Certificate;
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Aptitude in analytical ability and working with numbers;
- 2 years buying experience in construction is preferred;
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure & able to evaluate high-risk decisions;
- Mature, proactive, resourceful, hands-on with good initiatives and ability to leverage organizational resources;
- Hands on approach, motivated and energetic;
- Experience in improving operational efficiency;
- Ability to work fast and accurately;
- Computer Literacy in MS Office;
- 5 years experience within a similar role;
- Excellent organizing and prioritizing skills;
- Sound understanding of SAP required;
- Purchasing Diploma or Similar;
- At least 5 years related experience in the same or similar function.
