Duties include computing costs and calculating rates for goods, services, and shipment of goods; posting data; and keeping other relevant records. Responsibilities:

  • Customer Invoicing and Receipting;
  • Creditors;
  • Daily Recon Checks and Review;
  • Basic bookkeeping functions;
  • Daily Tasks Download financial and transactional data;
  • Maintaining Ledgers;
  • Processing invoices;
  • Liaising with clients;
  • Assist customers;
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements;
  • Acting as a back up to other assistant accountant;
  • Being responsible for the debtors cycle for the Group;
  • Liaising with Treasury on a daily basis;
  • Being responsible for payroll administration and accounting;
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles, processes and practices;
  • Good computer writing skills;
  • Intermediate — MS Excel;
  • Min. 2 years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Systems knowledge — SAP;
  • Income Tax Returns/E-filing/VAT;
  • BCom Accounting or National Diploma in Accounting — articles will be an advantage;
  • Profecient in Quickbooks;
  • Computer literate and highly proficient in the use of MS Excel;
  • SAIPA;
  • Microsoft Navision knowledge will be advantageous.
