ui/ux designer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a ui/ux designer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness);
- Testing UI;
- Developing and conceptualising a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand;
- Investigating user experience design requirements for our suite of digital assets;
- Gather and evaluate user requirements/designs in collaboration with product managers and engineers;
- Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets;
- Illustrate design ideas using user experience journeys, storyboards, process flows and sitemaps;
- Create wireframes and prototypes for experiences that will delight users;
- Build user interfaces in-line with these experiences;
- Identify what a delightful user experience looks like;
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders;
- Learn about user needs, business objectives and technical feasibility;
- Test your ideas and iterate until they’re excellent;
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images;
- Develop user interfaces that are elegantly crafted and feel magical.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc, InVision and Adobe UX);
- Portfolio of design projects;
- Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision;
- Good time management skills;
- BSC in Design, Computer Science or relevant field;
- Understand visual communication e.g. Colour, Layout, Typography, Icons, Images;
- Ability to use Wireframe tools;
- Ability to Research;
- An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experience;
- A team player but can work independently too;
- Adobe InDesign;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks;
- A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms.
