Yard Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Yard Worker to join our dynamic team. The position calls for someone who combines technical ability with a strong work ethic.

This is an on-site role in Lephalale, Limpopo. Do well here and the door to greater responsibility opens quickly. You will report to an approachable manager who values feedback and initiative. The team values honesty, hard work, and treating every customer with respect. Suitably qualified candidates are invited to submit their applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled tradespeople with construction, installation, and maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor.
• Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment, barricades, and signage as required on site.
• Perform general manual labour tasks including lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report safety hazards, equipment defects, and maintenance needs to supervisors without delay to prevent accidents.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas, storage rooms, and external grounds to ensure a safe and organised environment.
• Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely and in accordance with training and instructions received.
• Adhere to all occupational health and safety procedures and wear prescribed personal protective equipment at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a general worker, labourer, or construction assistant role is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and complete tasks as directed by supervisors.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic and willingness to work hard in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when operational needs demand it.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues at all times.
• A clean criminal record may be required for positions at secure premises or government buildings.
