SUMMARY

POSITION INFO

ENVIRONMENT: A dynamic Financial Services Provider seeks the expertise of a Senior Business Analyst to help strengthen and evolve its Home Loans platform and operating capabilities through structured analysis, pragmatic solution design and effective delivery execution. You will be responsible for understanding business problems, designing practical and scalable solutions, and ensuring initiatives are successfully delivered into production. This role extends beyond traditional requirements gathering. You will be expected to take ownership of initiatives from early problem definition through implementation. The successful incumbent must have 7–10+ years Business Analysis experience with a solid understanding of APIs and integrations, Relational data models, SQL concepts, System architecture principles, Workflow orchestration, Event-driven processes, CI/CD concepts, Testing approaches & Traceability practices. DUTIES: Business Analysis & Requirements Engineering -

• Understand and analyse business problems, opportunities and operational challenges.
• Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions with stakeholders.
• Elicit, structure and document requirements, business rules and decision logic.
• Produce requirements that are complete, traceable and implementation ready.
• Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to simplify or optimise processes.
• Ensure requirements focus on business outcomes rather than system replication. Process & Customer Journey Design -
• Design and optimise end-to-end Home Loans journeys, including: Ø Lead acquisition Ø Pre-qualification Ø Application capture Ø Bank submission Ø Fulfilment Ø Post-approval servicing
• Partner interactions - Define: Ø Process stages Ø Statuses Ø SLAs Ø Handoffs Ø Exception handling Ø Operational controls
• Ensure processes are scalable, measurable and practical to operate. Solution Analysis & Technical Design -
• Work with Architects and Engineering teams to translate requirements into implementable solutions.
• Contribute to: Ø API specifications Ø Data mapping exercises Ø Integration requirements Ø Functional decomposition Ø System interaction diagrams Ø Event and workflow definitions
• Understand and guide decisions relating to: Ø System boundaries Ø System-of-record ownership Ø Integration patterns Ø Automation opportunities Ø Data lineage
• Participate actively in solution reviews and challenge designs where necessary. Delivery Ownership -
• Take ownership of initiatives through delivery.
• Responsibilities include: Ø Supporting backlog creation and refinement Ø Breaking work into deliverable increments Ø Clarifying requirements during implementation Ø Supporting testing activities Ø Validating delivered functionality Ø Coordinating user acceptance activities Ø Managing scope decisions Ø Assisting with production readiness
• Remain accountable for ensuring the delivered solution meets the intended business outcome. Stakeholder Management -
• Act as the primary interface between: Ø Home Loans Operations Ø Sales teams Ø Product Owners Ø Technology teams Ø Support teams Ø External partners where required
• Facilitate decision-making.
• Manage competing priorities.
• Escalate risks proactively.
• Build trusted relationships across business and technology teams. Continuous Improvement -
• Identify opportunities to improve: Ø Existing operating models Ø Manual processes Ø Customer experiences Ø Reporting capabilities Ø System usability Ø Ways of working
• Contribute to analysis standards, templates and best practices within SBE. REQUIREMENTS:
• 7–10+ years Business Analysis experience.
• Proven experience delivering initiatives from concept through implementation.
• Working within lending, banking, financial services or operational environments preferred.
• Experience working within Agile and hybrid delivery environments.
• Experience supporting Engineering teams during implementation.
• Working on integration-heavy initiatives. Strong understanding of: Ø APIs and integrations Ø Relational data models Ø SQL concepts Ø System architecture principles Ø Workflow orchestration Ø Event-driven processes Ø CI/CD concepts Ø Testing approaches Ø Traceability practices
• Ability to communicate effectively with Architects, Developers and Quality Engineers. Advantageous -
