Accounting Team Leader

Our client, a well-established professional accounting firm in Durban, is seeking an experienced Accounting Team Leader to join their Private Business Services division.This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys leading teams, managing workflow, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial reporting. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of junior accounting staff. Prepare and draft Annual Financial Statements using Draftworx. Review bookkeeping, VAT, PAYE, reconciliations, and management accounts. Ensure all financial records are reconciled, accurate, and review-ready. Monitor team performance, workflow, and monthly deadlines. Support compliance with IFRS for SMEs and accounting best practices. Minimum RequirementsMinimum 3 years' experience within an accounting firm. Proven experience preparing AFS and management accounts. Strong Draftworx experience. Knowledge of Xero and/or Sage. Solid understanding of IFRS for SMEs, VAT, and PAYE. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
