Creditor Supervisor

Main Purpose of Position

To ensure the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices and payments, complete supplier reconciliations, resolve supplier queries, and manage and mentor creditor clerks.

Minimum Requirements

• Education :
  • Matric Certificate.
  • A recognized Credit Control qualification is preferred.
• Experience :
  • At least 3-4 years of experience with full knowledge in Credit Control and reconciliation.
• Technical Skills :
  • Sound working knowledge of the SAP system.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and especially Excel.
• Skills :
  • Strong administration and organizational skills.
  • Numerical accuracy with high methodical working methods.
• Language Proficiency :
  • Must be fluent in both English and Afrikaans.
• Transportation :
  • Must have own reliable transport.

Key Performance Areas

• Invoice Management : Receive invoices and ensure necessary authorizations are obtained.
• Preparation and Capturing : Prepare invoices and capture them onto SAP before month-end deadlines.
• Reconciliation : Ensure that monthly statements are received and creditors’ accounts are reconciled monthly or weekly for fuel creditors.
• Supplier Liaison : Liaise with suppliers regarding any queries and ensure they are resolved promptly.
• Account Administration : Manage the administration of creditor accounts.
• Payment Preparation : Prepare and capture creditor payments accurately.
• Documentation Filing : File all relevant documentation systematically.
• VAT Handling : Ensure correct handling of VAT in all instances.
• Accrual Management : Accurately raise accruals for each month.
• Staff Management : Oversee and manage creditors staff effectively.
• Finance Support : Provide overall support to the Finance department in all aspects.
