Senior BPO / Workflow Solution Architect

Green Office is expanding its BPO & Digital Solutions division and is looking for an experienced Senior Workflow Solution Architect to lead the design and architecture of complex digital workflows. This senior role is highly technical and process-focused, working closely with enterprise clients to build scalable, robust, and high-performing workflow solutions using Laserfiche and integrated systems.

Role Overview

The Senior BPO / Workflow Solution Architect acts as the technical and process design authority within the BPO team. The successful candidate will lead the end-to-end design of digital workflows, forms, data structures, integrations, and architecture artefacts. This role requires strong technical expertise, deep process knowledge, and the ability to translate business requirements into well-designed enterprise workflow solutions.

You will be the person who “gets it right the first time.”

Solution Architecture & Design

• Lead the design of digital workflows, forms, data structures, routing logic, and integration points.
• Produce high-quality architecture artefacts, including TO-BE process maps, system/integration diagrams, ERDs, data flows, and exception-handling models.
• Define scalability, performance, concurrency, and security standards for all technical builds.
• Review and sign off all technical specifications and solution designs.

Client Engagement & Technical Leadership

• Facilitate deep-dive technical workshops with business and IT stakeholders.
• Present solution designs to executives and technical teams.
• Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
• Act as the technical escalation point during scoping, build, testing, and go-live.

Integration Architecture

• Design integration strategies between Laserfiche and systems such as Syspro, SAP B1, Sage, ERPNext, CarLo, Pastel, HR and Finance systems, and custom APIs.
• Guide API integration planning, including authentication, data mapping, sequencing, retries, logging, error handling, and performance.

Technical Governance

• Establish and enforce architecture standards, naming conventions, workflow patterns, and best practices.
• Mentor developers and Business Analysts to uplift capability.
• Review workflow configurations, forms, scripts, and code for quality.

Delivery Oversight

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to set realistic timelines.
• Identify risks early (data, dependencies, integrations, workflow complexity).
• Support UAT planning and scenario coverage.
• Own go-live readiness and post-deployment evaluation.

Experience

• 5–10+ years in workflow automation or business process design (Laserfiche, DocuWare, K2, Nintex, Power Automate or similar).
• Strong understanding of enterprise processes: procurement, AP, logistics, manufacturing, HR, approvals.
• Proven experience in API integrations (REST/JSON, OAuth2, Webhooks, error-handling, data mapping).
• Experience in designing scalable automation with advanced routing logic and concurrency.

Education (Preferred)

• Laserfiche certifications (Designer, Workflow, Forms, Administration, Architect).
• Degree/diploma in Information Systems, Engineering or similar.
• BPM or Lean Six Sigma background.

Technical Skills

• Data modelling (tables, relationships, indexing).
• Integration layer and API orchestration design.
• Understanding of cloud, on-prem, and hybrid architecture patterns.

Soft Skills

• Strong workshop facilitation and executive-level communication.
• High accountability, independence, and delivery focus.
• Coaching and mentorship abilities.
• Able to push back professionally using logic and technical reasoning.

Other Requirements

• Ability to engage with enterprise clients and technical teams.
• Hybrid role based in Durban (some travel may be required).

• Salary: R55 000 – R85 000 per month (CTC), depending on: Workflow automation experience Integration expertise Enterprise project exposure Architecture maturity
