The Junior Architectural Technologist will work closely with senior architects and technologists, assisting in the preparation of detailed technical drawings, specifications, and building plans for a variety of projects.
You will be involved in all stages of the design process, from concept development through to construction documentation.
This role requires a strong technical aptitude, proficiency in relevant software, and a keen eye for detail.

You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to delivering high-quality architectural solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details using AutoCAD and Revit.Support senior technologists in developing detailed construction documentation and specifications.Coordinate with consultants and contractors to gather information and resolve technical queries.Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress under supervision.Assist in the preparation of planning applications and building permit submissions.Maintain project files and documentation in an organized and accessible manner.Participate in design team meetings and contribute to technical problem-solving.Learn and apply relevant building codes, standards, and regulations to project work.RequirementsNational Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.0-3 years of relevant experience in an architectural practice.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.Basic understanding of South African building regulations and construction methods.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical drawings.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills.Valid driver's license is advantageous.BenefitsAnnual salary of R , commensurate with experience.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Mentorship from experienced architectural professionals.Exposure to a diverse range of architectural projects.Provident fund contributions.A collaborative and encouraging workplace culture.Study leave assistance for further qualifications.
