Legal Director (B-BBEE Appointment) Location: Kempton Park, Gauteng An Exciting Leadership Opportunity Our established law firm in Kempton Park is seeking to appoint a dynamic, commercially minded Legal Director as part of our strategic growth and transformation objectives. This position presents an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious legal professional who is eager to lead, develop and grow an existing legal portfolio while becoming part of the firm's long-term leadership team. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the management and strategic development of an existing debt recovery and defended litigation portfolio and will have the opportunity to expand the practice, increase profitability and contribute to the firm's continued growth. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop an existing portfolio of approximately 105 debt recovery matters.
- Oversee a defended litigation portfolio consisting of approximately 61 active matters.
- Institute and manage legal proceedings where recovery efforts have not resulted in payment.
- Develop strategies to improve collections, client service and profitability.
- Lead and mentor an established support team already in place.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, particularly the National Credit Act and related legislation.
- Build and strengthen client relationships.
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the growth of the department.
- Participate in strategic decision-making as a member of the firm's leadership.
- Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
- Approximately 5–10 years' post-admission experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with SQL reporting or database reporting will be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and commercial decision-making abilities.

- Market-related remuneration of R25 000 – R30 000 per month (Cost to Company), depending on experience.
- 1% profit share upon appointment.
- Opportunity for the profit share and remuneration structure to increase based on measurable growth, profitability and business development within the managed portfolio.
- Existing administrative and legal support staff are already in place, allowing the successful candidate to focus on leadership, client service and portfolio growth.
