Midvaal Recruitment is seeking an experienced and driven Debtors Team Leader to join a well-established company based in City Deep, Johannesburg. This role is ideal for a strong credit control professional with leadership experience who can effectively manage debtor accounts, support collections processes, and lead a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile debtors' accounts.
- Capture and allocate customer payments accurately.
- Submit monthly debtor reports and ageing analyses.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and escalate high-risk accounts where necessary.
- Resolve customer account queries efficiently.
- Coach, guide, and monitor the performance of the debtors team.
- Ensure effective credit control and collection processes are maintained.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Non-Negotiable).
- Credit Control Certificate or Diploma.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Senior Credit Controller.
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience with direct reports.
- Strong understanding of credit control principles and debt collection processes.
- Experience working with ERP systems, particularly SAP Business One, will be advantageous.
- Experience with CGIC will be advantageous but is not essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Bilingual communication skills.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
