Drive, deliver, get the signature, next stop: this is route work for a frozen food distributor in Midrand. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.
The site is in Midrand; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.
What you'll actually do
- Check the truck's oil, water, tyres and lights before leaving
- Fill in the trip sheet with kilometres, fuel and stops
- Check the load against invoices before signing it out
- Manage your assistant on the truck and share the offloading
- Operate the truck-mounted crane to offload bricks or pallets
- Collect cash or cheques on COD deliveries and bank them correctly
- Report damaged goods or refused deliveries straight away
You'll need
- Honest with cash and customer goods
- Clean driving record
- Valid PrDP for goods (G)
- Friendly and professional with customers
- Valid Code 10 (C1) licence
- At least 2 years driving rigid trucks
