COST ACCOUNTANT - 7-month Fixed Term Contract

The ideal candidate must reside in either Steelpoort, Burgersfort or Lydenburg . Candidates residing outside of these areas will not be considered for the opportunity.

The successful candidate must already be based in the area as the company does not provide housing or accommodation.

Key Result Areas

•Financial processing & reporting

oOperation cost control & allocation;

oPreparing operational cost budgets;

oCost reporting for operations;

oAsset register control;

oOperation purchasing & pricing control;

oMonth-endprocess;

oWorkcloselywith operations management and staff;

oSupport to plant management and Financial Department.

•Stock Management

oImplementation and control of spare inventory management system;

oManageinventory,Stock value control,and ensure stock levels areadequate.

oGeneral Housekeeping of warehouses;

•Supervision, coaching and mentoring of staff members.

Knowledge/Education Requirement

•Grade 12 / Matric with accounting as a subject;

•Degree in Finance / Cost & Management Accounting;

•Postgraduatequalificationsmay be advantageous.

Experience and requirements

•5-8years ofworking experience in a similar field;

•Experience in cost management;

•Experience in spares inventory control;

•Must be anaction-orientedperson

•Maintainahigh level of confidentiality;

•Be prepared to travel between plants as and when required
