Key Responsibilities
- Own and be accountable for the overall evolution, stability, and health of multiple Technology/Domain assets.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across associated Centres of Excellence (COEs).
- Drive platform engineering best practices, automation, reliability, and operational excellence.
- Ensure platform availability, performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise integration and messaging requirements.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in Systems / Platform Engineering.
- 4+ years of hands-on Kafka Administration experience.
- Preferably Confluent Platform and/or Confluent Cloud.
- Strong DevOps and Automation skills:
- Python
- Bash Scripting
- CI/CD Pipelines
- Terraform
- Ansible
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Cloud experience, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of Kafka Security:
- TLS/SSL
- SASL Authentication
- ACL Management
- Experience in implementing and managing observability and monitoring solutions using:
- Prometheus
- Grafana
- ELK Stack
- Splunk
- Azure Monitor
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing enterprise-scale Kafka environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning capabilities.
- Knowledge of platform reliability, resilience, and operational best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.
