Urgent: Digital Marketing Specialist

We have an opportunity for a Digital Marketing Specialist in the in-house marketing team of a retail company in Johannesburg, Gauteng. You will coordinate print and digital advertising, in-store promotions, loyalty campaigns, and sponsorships. Strong project management skills ensure activities are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with brand strategy.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute events including product launches, trade shows, conferences, and experiential marketing activations.
• Manage the marketing budget effectively, tracking expenditure and ensuring return on marketing investment is measured and maximised.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats informing marketing strategy.
• Manage brand identity and ensure consistency of messaging, visual presentation, and tone of voice across all communication materials.
• Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns aligned with business objectives and target audience insights.
• Create high-quality content for various marketing channels including blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, press releases, and video scripts.

Requirements

• Analytical mindset with experience in interpreting marketing data, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations.
• Creativity and a passion for storytelling with ability to generate fresh ideas and innovative approaches to marketing challenges.
• Strong digital marketing skills including SEO, Google Ads, social media advertising, email marketing, and content management systems.
• Proficiency in marketing and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, and Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
• A degree or diploma in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field from a recognised tertiary institution.
