Officer Contracts Administration

Eskom Communications

Eskom generates approximately 95% of the electricity used in South Africa and approximately 45% of the electricity used in Africa. Eskom generates, transmits and distributes electricity to industrial, mining, commercial, agricultural and residential customers and redistributors. Additional power stations and major power lines are being built to meet rising electricity demand in South Africa. Eskom will continue to focus on improving and strengthening its core business of electricity generation, transmission, trading and distribution.Introduction Area of specialization: To support contract management services for projects through the effective compilation, evaluation, risk assessment, administration and dispute resolution of contracts. Task Grade: T12 Department: Contracts Management: Location: Northern Grid Job description Key Responsibilities Provide contract administration services during the project life cycle and contract duration Provide advice as contract specialist for and on behalf of project managers and contract management section. Support contracts manager in contractor communication and performance management of contractors. Participate and support the procurement process, evaluation and advise on procurement and contracting strategies. Provide contract administration support and advice throughout the project, procurement and contract lifecycle. Communicate safety, health, environment, risk, quality (SHERQ) and technical contractual requirements.
