Alarm Monitoring Controller (Night Shift) - Fixed-Term

Sharp eyes and a calm voice are the tools of the trade at a remote video monitoring centre in Epping. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The site is in Epping; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

What you'll actually do

• Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change
• Track stolen vehicles on the map and guide recovery teams
• Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio
• Answer alarm signals and phone clients to verify them
• Pull and save video footage for incident investigations
• Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
• Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows

Must-haves

• Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts
• No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)
• Clear speaking voice on radio and phone
• Computer literate and quick on a keyboard
• PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
• Matric

Helpful, not essential

• CCTV operator short course
• Speaking more than one local language
