The Role

We are looking for a highly driven Senior Sales Engineer II who thrives in customer-facing environments, excels at solving complex technical challenges, and is passionate about turning innovative ideas into business outcomes.

As a trusted technical advisor and Sr. Sales Engineer II, you will play a critical role in winning strategic opportunities across Africa. Your expertise will influence customer decisions, drive revenue growth, and directly shape our product evolution. You will leverage cutting-edge technologies, including our AI Lab, to rapidly prototype solutions, demonstrate real-world value, and help customers accelerate their digital transformation journey

What You'll Be Responsible For

Drive Technical Pre-Sales Success

• Own all pre-sales activities for assigned accounts and territories across Africa.
• Partner closely with Account Managers to develop and execute growth strategies.
• Serve as the primary technical authority for AppLogic Networks solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with customer executives, architects, and operational teams.

Design, Demonstrate, and Deliver Value

• Translate customer business challenges into scalable, innovative solution architectures.
• Develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations, dashboards, and proof-of-concepts (PoCs).
• Use AppLogic AI Lab to rapidly prototype and showcase solutions tailored to customer environments.
• Facilitate executive briefings, technical workshops, and solution design sessions.
• Clearly articulate business outcomes and ROI through technical storytelling.

Influence Strategic Opportunities

• Create solution architectures, technical proposals, bill of materials (BOMs), and sales quotations.
• Lead technical responses for RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
• Support deal strategy through strong technical positioning and competitive differentiation.
• Develop impactful sales presentations and customer-facing collateral that accelerate decision-making.

Be the Voice of the Customer

• Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for customer success.
• Partner with Product Management, R&D, and Customer Experience teams to provide structured market feedback.
• Support the resolution of complex customer challenges and escalations.
• Represent AppLogic Networks at industry events, customer forums, and executive meetings.

Establish Technical Leadership

• Contribute to technology competency centers and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Develop deep expertise within your domain and become a recognized thought leader.
• Stay ahead of industry trends across networking, AI, cloud, security, and analytics technologies.

What We're Looking For

Technical Expertise

You bring a strong combination of telecommunications, networking, and solution architecture experience, including:

• Solid understanding of 4G LTE mobile network architectures and exposure to 5G Standalone (SA) concepts.
• Knowledge of key mobile core technologies, including subscriber management, user-plane traffic flows, and 3GPP interfaces.
• Understanding of Fixed Core Networks, Broadband Network Gateways (BNGs), DSL, and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) technologies.
• Strong networking experience across:
• Wireline and wireless environments
• Network security
• Network analytics and performance monitoring
• Solid understanding of AI, cloud computing, and data analytics solutions.
• Proven experience building and delivering customer-facing Proof of Concepts and prototypes.
• Strong solution architecture and technical design capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and virtualization technologies.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Salesforce (SFDC) experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Master's Degree or MBA will be advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a pre-sales, solution engineering, or sales engineering role within:

• Cloud Infrastructure
