First-Off & Line Quality Technician

SCallaghan is on the lookout for an experienced First-Off & Line Quality Technician for an established manufacturing operation in Pinetown.
The role requires hands-on shop-floor quality experience, with responsibility for checking manufactured components throughout the production process and ensuring products meet required drawings, tolerances and quality standards.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant formal qualification
- Min. 2 years QA/QC experience within metal fabrication or high volume manufacturing environment
- Experience conducting first-off and in-process inspections
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tolerance specifications
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality requirements
- Experience identifying, recording and following up on non-conformances
- Exposure to CPAR and/or 8D reporting
- Strong attention to detail
