Job Overview
- Our client, a well-established company in the cleaning industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Clerk to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full payroll function using the company’s internal payroll system, while also assisting with basic finance and administrative duties.
Salary: Negotiable (Depending on experience)
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum 2-3 years’ payroll experience
- Previous experience working with large staff complements will be advantageous
- Knowledge of statutory payroll requirements, including PAYE, UIF, SDL, EMP201 submissions, and SARS eFiling
- Experience with debtors’ administration
- Computer literate (MS Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Driver’s License & own vehicle
- Must reside in Bloemfontein
- Must be available immediately
Duties & Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration:
- Process payroll accurately using the company’s internal payroll system
- Capture and maintain employee payroll information
- Process leave, overtime, deductions, and other payroll adjustments
- Ensure payroll is completed accurately and within deadlines
- Prepare and submit PAYE, UIF, SDL, and EMP201 returns
- Process payroll-related statutory deductions
- Submit payroll information via SARS eFiling
- Ensure compliance with all payroll legislation and statutory requirements
- Assist employees with payroll-related queries
Accounts Administration:
- Basic debtors’ administration
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Prepare and issue client invoices
Stock Administration:
- Capture stock received on the system
- Liaise with suppliers regarding stock and deliveries
- Maintain accurate stock records
