Cloud Solutions Engineer Architect - Cape Town Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage hybrid cloud solutions (on-prem + Azure).
- Develop secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructures aligned with business needs.
- Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates, etc.) to automate deployments.
- Write and maintain scripts for automation, monitoring, and orchestration (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and security teams for integrated cloud solutions.
- Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions (IaaS, BaaS, DRaaS).
- Monitor and optimize performance, security, and cost of cloud infrastructure.
- Document cloud architectures, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, solution design, or hybrid cloud implementation.
- Strong experience with:
- Hitachi Vantara technologies (storage, backup, DR).
- Microsoft Azure (compute, storage, networking, security, automation).
- Expertise in hybrid cloud architecture and solution deployment.
- Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates, etc.) and automation scripting.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices , compliance standards, and governance.
- Relevant certifications preferred:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
- Hitachi Vantara Certified Professional/Expert
- DevOps/automation certifications (Terraform, Kubernetes, etc.)
