The purpose of this Artisan Aid role is to read and interpret technical drawings and maintain tools, equipment and accurate job records.
This position is located in Cape Town, Western Cape. The role requires the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines. There is genuine scope for growth for candidates who show commitment. Candidates who meet the above criteria are invited to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain tools, equipment and accurate job records
- Follow health and safety procedures and safe-working practices
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective corrective action
- Report defects and material requirements to the supervisor
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Requirements
- Physically able to perform the inherent requirements of the job
- The ability to read technical drawings
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements
- A valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
- Relevant hands-on experience in the trade
- A recognised trade test certificate in the relevant trade (or relevant experience)
Qualifications
N3 plus a recognised trade test certificate
