Key Responsibilities
- Operate and oversee the can-making production line.
- Ensure products are manufactured according to quality specifications.
- Monitor production output and reduce spoilage.
- Conduct quality inspections and investigate production defects.
- Liaise with the Quality department to resolve quality issues.
- Set up machines and perform production line changeovers.
- Ensure raw materials are available for production.
- Monitor machine performance and report maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate planned maintenance activities.
- Supervise and coach production operators.
- Ensure finished products are scanned and transferred to the warehouse.
- Monitor production consumables and control waste.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Encourage teamwork and maintain good housekeeping on the production line.
Minimum Requirements
- Trade Tested Can Maker.
- Minimum 6 years' post-trade experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of can-making machinery and production processes.
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
