Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a creative and organised Social Media Specialist for a leading luxury travel company based in Johannesburg. This permanent opportunity is ideal for a social media professional with a passion for digital storytelling, community engagement and luxury travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the company's social media platforms.
- Schedule and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.
- Drive community engagement through active monitoring and response management.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand strategy and platform best practices.
- Monitor social media performance and report on key KPIs.
- Identify trends and opportunities to improve content performance.
- Support internal teams with social media guidance, training and content.
- Manage YouTube content and assist with video content strategy.
- Source and leverage user-generated content.
- Assist with influencer campaigns and collaborate with digital marketing teams.
- Maintain accurate tagging, hashtags, links and tracking standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience managing multiple social media platforms.
- Experience scheduling and publishing content using social media management tools.
- Strong understanding of social media analytics and performance optimisation.
- Experience reporting on social media KPIs.
- Excellent copywriting, editing and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and improve performance.
- Proactive, collaborative and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience within the travel, hospitality or luxury sector will be highly advantageous.
